| | Locations New Britain For nearly 120 years the New Britain-Berlin YMCA has offered people a chance to develop their spirit, mind and body. We invite people of every race or creed to enjoy the benefits of membership, regardless of means. YMCA members may work out in our fitness centers, take an aerobics or yoga class, swim laps, play in our gymnasium, take a fun trip or simply enjoy the fellowship of belonging to the Y. Youth members can enjoy camp, childcare, sports, swimming, clubs and many other fun activities. And you'll discover a caring and most helpful staff. The Y also offers many opportunities to serve the community and grow as a volunteer. You can help out in a fitness class or assist a child with homework. Or you may wish to help us raise money for camp or youth scholarships or even serve on a policy-making committee or board. We are proud that the YMCA is an organization that serves each individual member while strengthening the entire community. We invite you to become a part of our family. Berlin-Kensington The Berlin-Kensington YMCA became a Branch of the New Britain-Berlin YMCA in 1969. It is a traditional town and country, non-facility YMCA. Its administrative offices are located at 365 Main Street, Kensington. The Branch's outstanding preschool child care center is directly across the street at 365 Main Street. Most of the Branch's programs are provided in community facilities in collaboration with other local organizations. The Berlin-Kensington Y serves more than 2,000 children a year (nearly a third of the town's children). It provides financial assistance and support to those in need and also provides a wide variety of volunteer opportunities. |
